Chapter 2: Trapped!
The lift is stuck between the second and third floors. It won’t go up or down.
Marco and Marisa have been there for an hour now.
It isn’t a small lift, but with the two of them, and Gegè the dog as well, there isn’t much space!
It’s Thursday August the 12th. Gennaro, the elderly porter at Collina Fiorita, is away on holiday.
None of the few people left in the appartment block can hear the alarm that Marco and Signora Marisa are ringing.
They both try shouting, too, but no one notices their cry for help.
And in the lift, their mobile phones do not work. There’s no signal.
They’re trapped!
