Chapter 3 – Marco and Signora Marisa
Do Marco and Signora Marisa already know each other?
But of course!
Marco lives on the fourth floor. He’s a fan of Napoli, the football team.
Marco’s friends often come to his flat to watch matches. They’re very noisy, and stay up late…
And Signora Marisa?
She’s 84 years old and she lives with Gegè, her dachshund, on the third floor.
Gegè barks a lot and Signora Marisa likes to get up early each morning, usually before five o’clock.
She cleans the house and listens to the radio.
Signora Marisa and Marco argue about noise – Marco’s football matches and Signora Marisa’s loud radio!
They aren’t friendly at all.
When they meet on the stairs, they don’t say “Hello!”
And now they’re stuck in the lift.
The hours pass slowly.
