Chapter 7. Back to Bologna
Amanda doesn’t want to stay in Ferrara any longer. Sad and disappointed, she decides to go home.
The last train back to Bologna leaves soon, at 21.11.
Before leaving Davide’s home, she writes a note and puts it under his door: “Hi darling! Happy Anniversary! I miss you so much… Amanda.”
As she walks to the station, Amanda feels like crying. What a terrible day!
Fortunately, the train journey is interesting.
There are other people in the train with her: an elegant gentleman, a mother with a small child, and two students discussing philosophy.
Amanda spends the time watching and listening to them. By the time the train gets back to Bologna, she’s feeling better!
