Chapter 4. The Bar
Sometimes, after work, Davide goes to a bar to have a drink with his friends.
The bar’s only five minutes from his office, so Amanda runs there, hoping to find him.
The bar is big and elegant and there are lots of people there, all chatting and looking relaxed.
Outside, older people are sitting at tables, drinking coffee or tea and reading newspapers.
Inside, there are groups of young people, talking, drinking beer and eating crisps. Among them, she sees some of Davide’s friends.
“What luck!” thinks Amanda, relieved, “Davide must be here with them.”
But she has a nasty shock coming.
