Chapter 2. The Anniversary
Today is May 15th.
It’s Amanda and Davide’s anniversary, three years from the day they first met!
Amanda wants to surprise Davide by going to his apparment in Ferrara. In the evening they can celebrate this special day together!
She knows Davide is at work until 17.00 so she goes to the station in Bologna to catch the 16.18 train. The train times are perfect.
At the station there is a big clock in the square and inside is the ticket office.
Trains from Bologna go to every part of Italy, so the station is very crowded.
Amanda goes to platform 4 and gets on the train to Ferrara. Unfortunately, the train is ten minutes late leaving. But Amanda arrives in Ferrara at 17.00, just in time!
It’s already 17.30 when she gets to Davide’s house. “Davide is sure to be home,” thinks Amanda. She rings the bell and waits, but no one opens the door.
Davide isn’t there.
