Marco takes off his glasses. He didn’t want Signora Marisa to see his eyes because he’s crying. He dries his eyes with his hand.
Signora Marisa doesn’t like this rude, noisy boy. But she’s a kind and generous person…
“What’s the matter?” she asks, “Are you scared? Calm down. Someone will come soon.”
“Excuse me, Signora Marisa. It’s just that I suffer from claustrophobia. I’m not feeling so well… You know, you remind me of my grandmother? She died two years ago. She was always angry with me and my friends, too. She said we made too much noise on match nights…”
