Chapter 4 – Rome
The train arrives at Rome. It’s a very big station.
Luca and Marco aren’t sure where to go.
“Eugenio, do you know if there’s a bus to Cinema City?” asks Luca.
“You can take the metro, here in the station. It’s easy,” says Eugenio,
“Go down the steps and take Line A. There’s a stop at Cinema City. You can’t miss it.”
As they say goodbye Eugenio adds “Good luck!” and goes to find a taxi.
Luca and Marco are hungry. They leave the station and take a walk. Rome is so beautiful!
At midday Luca sees a trattoria in a square. It’s a welcoming place and the staff are very friendly. The menu is long with many local Roman dishes.
The waiter comes to take their order.
“I’d like some pasta,” says Marco. “How about you, Luca?”
“I’m not sure” says Luca.
“May I suggest spaghetti alla gricia?” asks the waiter “It’s one of our specialities.”
“What is it?” asks Luca.
“It’s a simple dish,” the waiter tells them, “spaghetti with pork, sheep’s cheese and pepper. It’s very good.”
“Sounds perfect!” says Marco. ”OK.”
After lunch, Luca and Marco walk back to the station and go down the steps to the metro station. Luca buys the tickets and they get on the train.
On the way, Luca is very quiet. “Everything OK?” Marco asks him.
“I’m a bit worried about the audition” Luca says.
“No need to be! Think positive!” says Marco “Hey! Here’s our stop!”
