Chapter 1 – What was her name?
“What was her name again? Sara…..or maybe Sabrina? …Silvia? I’m sure it starts with an S….”
It’s almost midday and Claudio has not long been up. He’s in the kitchen, looking at a note on the table. There’s a phone number and beneath it the words “It was fantastic! Call me!” But no signature.
“Sandra?…..Serena?
Claudio runs a hand through his hair, sticks the note to the fridge and tries to remember.
Yesterday evening he’d met a girl in a pub. They’d drunk a bottle of wine and then returned to his place together. This morning she must have left while he was still asleep.
When he turns on his phone he finds four messages: Francesca, Chiara, Alessia and Valentina, all wanting to go out with him.
Tall, blond, handsome and, above all, single, Claudio is 35 and lives in a loft in the centre of Rome. He has two great passions in his life: his work as an architect and women. He has never had a real romance, a steady girlfriend, preferring to play the field. So, while showering and getting dressed, he thinks about which girl to invite to dinner.
